| Think Khav was right, in that there was a unique set of circumstances that led to last night. Had the first game been against Salford or Huddersfield, there would have been no need to issue the demand for segregation, and everyone would have gathered where they wanted under the stand. Once the club issued the request for segregation, they should have stuck to it properly, and said no away fans in the North Stand. I agree with Cas fans that this should not be how it is, but the concession mid-week, prompted by RW's rant, was partially to blame, because the stand was split 60-40 in Cas's favour (because the home fans had the half where the top of the terrace reduces). Segregation should have been all or nothing. The decision to insist it on it was the wrong one, and then the decision to cave in to that oaf was another wrong one.
The problem is that I thought one of the whole points of the roof was to provide a more pleasant atmosphere for the away fans to encourage away fans, as well as placate the RFL. Why all the effort to create a "kop" in a ground that we are aiming to be out of by the end of next year?
A new campaign for me:
LET THEM HAVE THE NORTH
I'm sure those at the top will look back and say that they got it wrong but acted with the best of intentions. I would agree with that, but still wrong.

The sad truth is it won't exist for much longer if the team continues to perform like it has for the last two games as fans will soon stop coming....
Were in serious danger of undoing so much good work off the field with poor on the field performances....

| I am a Cas fan and i have posted the following on our forum - because as i see it we (as in the posters on here and our forum) need to name and shame regardless of which team the trouble causers support
=#0000BFWow the inquest begins... and this is how i see it
The fault can be dished out in many directions:
Andrew Glover - lets all move to the tin roof he should have said nothing and let the wakey fans make their own decision as to where the home crowd would like to stand, his idea caused friction.
The ground staff - anyone who was turning up at the turnstiles after having a skin full should have been refused entry
The ground security - a couple of our own stewards were there and offered their service for free before the start of the game only to be told we don't need any help, which seems a stupid statement to make as when the police turned up a comment from a few of the police officers said the organisation of the stewards had been a joke.
However the biggest blame goes to the idiots who decided to turn up and turn a family sporting event into a war zone, many comments saying that the people who were ejected were from the Wakey section but regardless of who they support Cas Wakey or any other game we do not want them at our games and supporters of both teams need to make sure that when we see unacceptable behaviour that it is reported regardless of the colour shirt they are wearing or the team they are supporting.

| There was many fans posting on here, facebook and Twitter saying 'make the north stand wakey only' so you cant blame Glover for giving the fans what they wanted....he was just trying to increase the home atmosphere at Belle Vue and rightly so! It's alright saying in hindsight 'this was bound to happen with segregation', but this doesn't happen at other grounds that separate the two sets of supporters. Dont blame the club, blame the idiots who can't hold their ale!!

| Quote steadygetyerboots-on="steadygetyerboots-on"It is pointless pointing the finger at either set of fans as being responsible in my opinion. No-one can honestly say that one set of fans behaved better than another. Those who threw things, goaded and charged at other fans: you are a disgrace, whoever you follow. Those of us who are rightminded should not get drawn into a whose fans were worst argument; both sides had fans who behaved appallingly. For me, both CEO's have a lot of explaining to do. The way this whole thing has been handled is nothing short of a joke. Tonight was a very sad day for RL in my opinion and both sides should hang their heads in shame.'"
Agreed. From a position right behind it, there were elements who were embarrassing on both sides. Aside from the knuckledraggers and beer-fuelled juvenille fighting cocks, who are obvious scum, what really saddened me was the grown men on both sides who one minute were appealing to stewards to sort it, pointing out miscreants, then the next minute adding to the goading, pushing and inflammatory chanting.

Agreed, can see attendances dropping off now. Plenty of lot in north stand last night won't come back, seems they just come out for this one game.

| Worth pointing out that there weren't any Cas fans in Chav Corner, so we know who was to blame for the pint thrown over the crowd and towards Rangi Chase. Players like Owen don't help, gesturing towards the fans when he scored, but I can take stuff like that in good humour. And of course there was the cross-biting neanderthal in front of me who was offering out an elderly gent and a woman because they accidentally knocked the dregs of his pint from the railing.
Good Friday has turned into a day on the lash. Lunchtime kick off please in future.
But the queue never went down for the beer kiosk so someone will be happy.

| It won't be long before a video of these events appears on youtube, saw a couple of people filming the incident/s.
Still absolutely disgusted by it all.

| Firstly the atmosphere in the north stand was better than anything I have witnessed at bv in 35 years until it all kicked off after about 20 mins.
The theory behind the let's in north campaign is correct I feel. Poor atmosphere caused by lack of a roof. Home fans standing in disparate areas due to tradition.
Clearly it did not work last night. Lets not dump the let's in north idea its got legs but put the away fans in front of the east stand or west stand with the latter having access to better food and bar facilities.
Next. Zero tolerances approach on the idiots. Chav corner needs sorting out. Been going on too long. Same as the idiots who sit at the back of the away buses week in week out. It's always the same mindless idiots who will stand as close to where the opposition idiots. But it never gets knocked on tIe head by the stewards they need to earn there money and now is the time.
