Wood not creative enough in the halves, he is doing ok in his spells at hooker

Problem is theres nobody in the squad who is a natural goalkicker. People have mentioned Collis and Smith as options but if john & Cockayne are seen as better bets than those two then they can't be up to much. Not sure theres much in the reserves. The only person who looks competent at best is dale morton but i can't see a way into the team for him. With our self-imposed cap at its limit its going to be our nemesis all season by the looks of things.

It's a pity Moore wasn't a winger - given his kicking ability, I could see him playing a similar role to that of Jamie Foster at Saints.

All conjecture though - he's gone.

Jordan Grayston the U20 full back can kick goals from all over the park would not drop Mathers for him and not sure if he can play wing / centre

yeah put them both in, its not Johns goal kicking i'm on about its his and Smiths lack of Korean meatballs to have a go at teams

Agree about John he hasn't found his feet yet but it's still very early and he's shown glimpses of what he can do but Smith's been pretty decent, he does all our organizing in the back line and has had a hand in about half of the tries we've scored, he's been a lot more sound in defense than I remember at Wigan as well.

Wasn't it announced that one of the main reasons that Gareth Moore left was that he didn't want to go full time because he had a decent job outside of the game so preferred to be a part time player at a lower level ?
