| They defended very well, we didnt attack particularly well and had plenty of chance to do so, if we was good enough we had chance enough.
was a bit disheartened at the time - and a little worried about our toothlessness infront of the line, but now had time to reflect a little theres not real cause for concern as yet, typical early season game and all you can expect with basically a new team. I think many, myself included, may have had their expectations raised on the back of a good win first game, but the hudds result has kind of put that into perspective.
Plenty to work at, but its very much early days and we do have several good things to build on.

| Thought we just lacked the cohesion on the final pass that would probably have made the difference yesterday, the disallowed try for Cockayne in the first half being a prime example.
Even though Hull KR were expected to dominate in the forwards, i don't really think they did, even though Mika and Paea look decent. However Hull KRs goal-line defence and desire was excellent and is what ultimately won them the game.
Also dont get the criticism directed at John. I thought he was involved in most of our decent attacking play, his defence seemed sound and he took the line on alot more than Smith did. Sure, his kicking wasn't great and he shouldnt be the lead goalkicker in any SL team but overall i am not sure what else we could expect from him in the conditions.
Well done to KR, they really ground it out and overall we just lacked the patience at crucial times to get our noses in front.

| Just watched the highlights, others who have a better understanding of the game may be able to tell me, but in the run up the final Hull KR try is there a case for obstruction?

| I don't think any players were poor as has been stated by a few posters. We should have won the game but didn't, i'd take that over getting mullered and deserving nowt anyday. There was one other opportunity we had on their line that hasn't been mentioned and it was when we had a 3 on 2 and rather than slipping Collis into a gap 6/7 yards out the pass went to fox who was the covered man.
Over all pretty pleased the conditions were not conducive to good RL and yet I still thought we played some decent stuff at times. With a bit more composure we would have won against a very determined and capable KR side. Disappointed but optimistic going forward

| If it had been a boxing match, the ref would have stepped in and stopped the contest. We absolutely battered them in the second half and although, like most people, I was disappointed that we didnt win, the effort was certainly there.
KR only got in our half twice in the second half and scorde both times, but I think we will win games this season playing little worse than today.
Credit must be given to the KR defence, it was heroic.

| I thought it was a good effort and we were a little unlucky to get beat. We coughed up some silly ball which cost us in the end alongside some very good defence from KR. My only slight concern was how much we favoured attacking down our right hand side in the second half it seemed that every attack went that way. Positive signs yesterday and much better than the majority of last year.

| No complaints here - it was a great effort and we just lacked a bit of cohesion and killer instinct on their line; their defence in the second half was positively heroic, which blunted our attacking options quite significantly.
We made a couple of errors that were pivotal and we have to hope that more time together and more training sees things like that ironed out.
We certainly looked the fitter side and in particular the last 15 mins of each half, which is a big improvement on last season; I think that, coupled with speed and mobility of our pack and the class we've got available at hooker, will pay dividends on a dry track.
Bring on Bradford - hopefully the people of Wakefield saw enough to convince them to come back.

For all Raleigh's efforts he still gives away too many penalties. '"
3 penalties and 2 tries in 2 games will do for me.

| Quote Wollo-Wollo-Wollo-Wayoo="Wollo-Wollo-Wollo-Wayoo"Weird game to watch. Winter conditions, Wakefield in traditional strip, steam off the scrums, tight heavy game for long periods, big crowd, scarves and wooly hats, muddy strip! It was like being back in the good old days.
Johnson and Cockayne stood out for me. For all Raleigh's efforts he still gives away too many penalties. Don't think Lautiti ever played the ball after a drive, he either lost it or threw away a stray pass.
Turning point was Washbrook's pass to the Hull KR player after picking up that loose ball on half way.'"
if we contimue to use Lautiti as we have done in the first 2 games he will be out for the season play him off the bench
