The whole team needs an overhaul in my view - Eddie and Stevo have outstayed their welcome by a significant margin and Clarkey, if he can't be professional enough by now to leave his Wigan bias at the door, should also be replaced.

I'd go so far as to say that Eddie and Stevo in particular could be a barrier to attracting new viewers - if we're trying to break out of the stereotype of a colloquial, northern sport, played and supported by thick as mince, salt of the earth types, then they're doing us no favours at all; Stevo in particular has become so slow-witted, that he spends the whole programme either repeating a set of stock phrases or blurting out half-finished, nonsense sentences. I'd like to see Eddie replaced by a woman (Tanya and Clare both come fully formed) and Stevo replaced by John Kear.

I actually quite like the idea of current players being involved - accepting that Tomkins' Sky wages are probably being paid by Wigan in another example of 'off-cap' accounting - but if they expanded that out and used a number of young, articulate players to comment each week, that could also be interesting.

All conjecture and supposition by the way - if it was going to be overhauled, I expect it would have happened in the off-season.

Its ok saying replace stevo and eddie but who with? Bill arthurs not upto the job.

As I said - Tanya Arnold or Clare Balding would both offer significantly more than Eddie; John Kear or Brian Noble would be able Stevo replacements or, if you wanted a total change, Brian Carney.

Wells & Carney are brilliant additions to the team, Clarke is alright, but i detest his bias commentary whenever Wigan play. Eddie & Stevo for me are outdated and whilst nice fella's really hold back the production.

Eddie would be relatively easy to replace, because you don't necessarily need someone with a rugby background to host and direct the flow of conversation. Someone can quite easily grow into that position and knowledge can be acquired with time.

Stevo, troubling as it may sound, might be harder to replace!!!
