J Childs Touch Judge? have they realised he aint up to being ref.

I aren't hoping for much, we all know that the refs and the rfl get their heads together to spoil the first few rounds, with the whistle taking centre stage.
I wonder what rule will be enforced to kill the games this year???

we will probably get mr child constantly(10+) flagging for some trivial infringement, which will have been completely forgotten about by round 3, with eddie and stevo harping on about "interpretation of the rules!"

That just reminds me of the start of last year, when we played Cas and there was something like 40 penalties called, the ref even seemed to be making new rules up on the spot last year.

It's been the same for a few years now, sadly.

It seems that even if there is very little changes to the rules, the referees penalise the hell outa games in the first couple of rounds. Then later in the season they dont give penalties for the same offences. Why cant we have consistent refereeing standards, if they're clamping down on a certain thing for instance incorrect play of the ball lets penalise teams all season so they realise they cant get away with it anymore rather than the current trend of enforcing the rules in the first few rounds then anything goes for the rest of the season.

What does TK stand for?

Let's just hope we have someone either on the field or in the stands that can quickly spot where all the penalties are being awarded and we can adjust our game accordingly.

If they're awarding lots of penalties for lying on then make sure we get off quick, if they're not then slow them down. Just have the nous to notice and play accordingly. That's what always frustrates me, it shouldn't be too hard to adjust your game to suit how the referee is handling the game. It shouldn't be necessary as we should know before the game starts how it will be reffed but we know that's not the case so they need to think on their feet.
