How much did/do people win with Squadbuilder? Nothing. It's a charity donation, to all intents and purposes. The feelgood factor comes when you see one of our juniors break into the first team and do well, and know that you've contributed towards that happening.

Club 1873 is a great scheme for the ordinary fan, with the dangled carrot of a nice little payout if you get lucky. The worst case scenario is you've helped the club retain and develop its junior talent.

Can someone please explain to me why both need to co-exist.

I do the 1873 because I want to help the club and have the odd chance of maybe winning something.

I don't do it [ibecause[/i of the prize. If it was about the winnings I would just keep my money in the first place.

And I certainly don't do it because I want to see someone else win! If anyone wins, I want it to be me.
