RIP Joe - I was also lucky enough to meet him earlier this year at the sportsmans dinner.

Well sit down Joe, you've earned it, but none of us will ever forget what you did here in your 67 years.

A true Heavyweight World Champion from an era when it really was hard to win and even harder to keep.

Well, you shook a few brains yourself Joe, but the undertaker finally got your name in his book, as he does for all of us. Not many names in that book will stand out like yours,

Legend is an overused word in sport, but not in this case. One of the best that they'll ever be. RIP Smokin' Joe.

Not the biggest of heavyweights of his time but without doubt had the biggest heart.
