Hendo has been one of my favourite players over the 6-7 years he's been here.
He has never been the fastest, or most skillful, or the strongest, but he has put more effort in than anyone else and has played above his supposed skill level consistently.
When hard work needed to be done, whether in defence or attack he was the one to do it.

He leaves with my respect and I hope he either enjoys his retirement or gets a good gig somewhere else where he can find a good level for himself. Wouldn't be surprised if JD picked him up.

Never going to set the world alight with dazzling skills, but if every player next season gives the same level of effort and commitment as Hendo, we'll win the cup, league leaders shield and grand final.

Tongue in cheek comment, but he has become a bit of a favourite of mine, purely because he's argueably made more of out his abilities than any other player in the competition. He's had some brain farts, especially when he played in the centres, but by god he put a shift in whenever he played.
