| Wwildcat48 - not being funny mate but that's your first post and you expect us to take that as fact
Fwiw my opinion is we should the trust the people who's job it is to build the team to to do there job, far too early to see the big picture, with a new coach bound to be changes. Judge the team in Jan/Feb not now, far too early

| How come any report from Hudds never mentions a cash fee?? Didnt this happen with Brough as well?
Dissapointed he has gone, a, because he is good and b, because he has come through the system here and someone else will get the benefit.
The argument with regards to his number of tries and assists he provided are a bit flawed based on the fact we played a 'limited' style of play and we were struggling all season. We all said the same about Atkins 3 years ago! Amazing how players can look so much better with decent players around them.
Dependant on the amount of cash we got, i am reasonably happy with the deal. Raleigh i like and Kirmond, you know what you are getting. Not 100% sure we needed another 2 in the pack but i suppose if good players become available, you have to take them.

| Quote: Sandal Cat "Pretty much agree with this but remember we need to progress on this season which has been a bit of a disaster and imports are needed for that progression - we cannot do it straight away with our own youngsters, that is going to take time.
Walshaw will be playing second fiddle as you put to it to 2 Aussies but do you honestly believe he is ready to play SL every week and command a centre spot - I have seen little of him so I don't know. He will replace an Aussie when he is ready and good enough and I would not be surprised to see him get some game time next season on the wing.
I'm all for bringing our juniors through but they have to be good enough and ready for SL before they can come through and of course when they do they have to want to stay with us.'"
Struggling to keep up with all the comings and goings at Wakey but while the net result looks to be a significant strengthening do you think there's a real possibility your 17 most weeks wont include a single homegrown player?

I would like to think Wildie and Davey have done enough to get regular starts. However, with Ferguson, George and Murphy now all departed, there is a very real possibility of there being no Trinity youth in the first team. All the more reason to off load Lee and refrain from signing Obst (although he is a player I admire).

Young English players aren't able to get into first teams because clubs sign the likes of Winterstein and Leano who add nothing to the sport. It's hypocritical to whinge about Chase getting picked for England but then champion the club signing average imports.'"
I'm sorry but that is a load of rubbish, the 2 things are totally unrelated and as far as I'm concerned you can have a problem with the standard of import that sometimes finds it's way into to SL and have a completely different view on a foreigner playing for the national team especially when he's no connections to the country and in Chase's case has only come about because of the scenario he finds himself in. I think you'll find that a lot of people moan when second rate imports get signed and people are moaning now with Chase.
