Didn't see that one coming, but having read his working background this definately looks like a step in the right direction,we have in the past had teams run rings round us on fitness levels alone.

Very happy with this, its a very good appointment. He will make a significant difference.

I know nothing about this guy but Agar does seem to be building a very good back room team with shed loads of local knowledge - which can never be a bad thing for a club like ours.

I've always followed Lombardis mantra that you build a club by getting the back room staff and thus the systems in place and working first. Real sustained success cannot be gained by short term signings.

Other than the Murphy situation it's shaping up.

I agree, i also believe its not just about signing good players, but good people.
Murphy appears to be both, if Cockayne is to be his replacement i'm not so sure about the latter.

Excellent news. Looks like the best signing for a long while. Looking at Bradford in their glory days, they were enormous and the most physically dominant side in SL. Can't wait for the new season now.

I'm delighted with this appointment however with such an impressive CV why was he plying his trade at Barrow ( no offence to Barrow) I would have thought that he would have been in great demand from a SL side

I think you're forgetting something here. Barrow or their Chairman were throwing cash around a few years back if you recall, Rooney and Cadic amongst others. They were looking a very ambitious side for a while so no surprise they employed a SL standard conditioner.
