At last someone with some humility on this board. It's a shame the majority can't show the same.

Wasn't it only 6 months ago you nearly didn't even have a club to support and were only saved after going into administration owing money to various people/companies. Then less than a month ago you all thought you wouldn't be in SL and it appears were only saved by the failings of the Crusaders (awaits the comeback that your application was stronger than Halifax etc etc but lets face it if the Welshies hadn't pulled out you were gone)

Yet incredibly people on here are having a go (and guess work at that) at Cas' finances and how they are run as a club !

Don't get me wrong I don't profess to believe everything our CEO tells us or am 100% happy with how the fans are treated at times but could any fan of any club honestly say they agree 100% with how their club is run ?

But what I do know is unless otherwise officially told our club is financially stable and has another 3 years of SL to look forward to, the same as yours. Everything else regarding stadia, coach, player, season ticket prices is out of my hands and what will be will be, I just hope the right choices are made.

Now instead of enjoying coming through the hardest time in your clubs recent history and looking forward to a more positive future you still can't help but have a pop of everything Cas do or don't do. It seems I was naive in thinking that when we were both awarded licences for the next 3 years all this backbiting (and that goes for the Cas fans that indulge as well) would stop or at least go away for a couple of years but it appears I was way off the mark.

Oh well I live in hope that it will abate soon when the season ends but no doubt each others stadium plans, signings, coaches, finances will still continue to be belittled by both sets of fans in some playground point scoring competition. Is it any wonder fans of other clubs laugh at us both.

I hope that both our clubs have a bright future in SL in nice new shiny stadiums and the only point scoring is done on the pitch.

It didn't seem to affect him at the KC.

www.totalrl.com/forums/index.php ... try2338208

Hmm, sounds remarkably similar to what we’ve had over the past two seasons.

I did say a while ago, half jesting, the names of Goulding and Schofield were possibly being leaked by the club to make the appointment of Agar seem the better option, but if that’s the quality of coach the club have received applications from then Agar isn’t the worst choice. Can’t say I’m not disappointed, but should it happen it’s a fresh start and a clean slate in my view and it isn’t something hat would stop me from getting a season ticket.

Never mind, you seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder about something, so I'll let you get on with it. By the way, your refusal to actually answer any of the points in my last post is duly noted.'"

Which points are those?
If you mean your post on the other thread they're answered.

My point here is much the same as Pop Tarts, I can build a strong case against the appointment of Shaun McRae, stronger than that against Richard Agar. Indeed there's no reason to doubt that a change of club or role won't be the making of Agars career but McRae has moved around various clubs and competitions without significant improvement in fact he's got worse.

I agree that McRaes coaching methods are possibly out of date and undoubtedly don't work. From watching him on TV, you can see he knows a lot about the game. It appest to me that his position at Hull is comparable to most SL chairman. He'll be the director in charge of Rugby rather than a Jon Sharp role were the DOR is on the training field every day. In that position I think he's a great candidate. I'd wager he knows far more about RL than people in comparable positions e.g. Kath Hetherington. He's been brought into to negate Adam Pearson's lack of RL knowledge.
