With regard to giving young lads a go, take a look at the squad I suppose it depends on your definition of 'young' or relatively inexperienced; for me 8 out of the squad fall into this category ie PJ, Dean, Morton, Gledhill, Howarth, Vievers, Wildie and Tongia. Surely there must be a balance?
Also, with all due respect to Gareth Moore, I'm not sure where all this hype regarding him is coming from. A couple of months ago he was a part-time player in a lower division team, he's just coming back from an injury lay-off and to be fair on previous first team outings he's not been particularly a stand out (perhaps someone could give a view on his outstanding performances in the reserves as I've not viewed these games). Yet some are expecting him to be the catalyst for the upturn of the team.
If you were the Castleford coach what would you do if GM was in the team, I know what I would do (and what I know about tactics is negligible), I would taget him with a few big guys running at him and unless he is something very special then his attacking ability goes out of the window. I would leave GM for the future, with a good off-season, he may be part of the answer with better around him.'"

Just like Nathan Brown did in his home debut against the Giants, Griffin told me a day before the game that Brown and co had drilled it into his players all week to target GM, hence the attention he was getting when he was lining up a kick on the 4th or 5th tackle by Kirmond, Unfortunately for Huddersfield it failed massively due to GM having a blinder and getting MOM and scoring the majority of points in that game also a very good kicking game too . If you were at that game you will know what i mean ? And as a part timer for Batley he received the NL young player of the year award broke all point scoring records and played Internationally for Scotland, I dont think you get all these accolades from playing tiddlywinks,
Having said that ''PHe'' you make some good points !!!

Cas exploited his lack of pace twice in the first half to score and then in second half he passed it sraight to Tongia when he should have run it on and drawn the defender then passed it. Tongia may well have scored then.
Also don't know why Kear took Tongia off, he made a couple of mistakes granted, but he made some good defensive plays and always looked dangerous when running the ball out.'"
You can't slag Henderson off on here. He's bigger than Jesus on this forum.

I ain't slagging him off everyone knows his limitations - I was questioning Kear for playing him at centre when you take the obvious lack of pace and rugby brain into account.
Next year Hendo should not be anywhere near the squad if we are to progress, but for the remainder of this, he should be a replacement forward only.

His limitations are he's gash. Although I do think Kear clearly rallied the team tonight, we've nothing to play for yet the performance tonight was excellent. People say all they want is effort, well there was plenty of that tonight. In my opinion the best team lost.

Have to say I'm very surprised at your OTT Glover is beyond reproach comments when he most certainly isn't. I thought you more savvy than to go down that route. I'm not looking for points to pull him up on, he simply provided an important one IMO. Why the assumption that every less than glowing comment regarding the new owner is an act of betrayal is beyond me.
I should imagine AG is so weighed down at present with sycophantic bandwagon jumpers he would be relieved when the odd one occasionally got off his back and walked by themselves.
Good day to you.'"
I'm not sure I suggested that Glover was beyond reproach but I do think you have to give credit where it is due. Similarly to your point about negative comments being seen as a betrayal you can't lump everyone who makes a positive comment about Glover together as sycophantic bandwagon jumpers. A while ago you said that Glover had done nothing yet that the previous regime hadn't in some form or another well to my mind he now has with the season ticket offer and will do when/if the ground improvements happen. I don't wish this to be a Ted v Glover debate as I have massive respect for what Ted did in keeping us in SL for so long but I do get the feeling that you are best being a little over cautious regarding Glover. I know it's the Wakey way and our natural response is to be wary when good things appear to be happening but I'm prepared to go with the flow on this one and hope that Glover turns out to be our 'knight in shining armour'!
