| Please, our squad is so bad we should not have won a single game. Kear got this team of rejects to win games and now it's back to form. Can't people wait just a few weeks to let him go in his own time.
Our squad is now made up of players who have signed contracts for other clubs, will not be in Super League next year, may no longer be playing at all and a few that are or want to stay. We are out of the play offs. We have zero form. The coach is going and the new one is not known.
With all that I can see no reason why any player should be up for these last games. I still think Kear is quality but I think this is beyond any man.
Before the start of the season we would have been happy just knowing we were still in Super League with a new owner who looks good. Can the boo boys just keep quite and wait for next season. We could have been playing Fev next year. Lets be positive. The good times are coming.

I'd agree with some of that but I simply can not accept players going through the motions while some of their team mates put 100% in, it's alien to me, I cannot fathom that attitude!
Take a look at what's happening at Crusaders where the players are bound together by a personal and team pride and the common goal of rewarding their fans by going out on their shields.
As for JK, if he stubbornly refuses to accept that certain players need dropping and that some of the youngsters would benefit from the experience of three games at SL level then IMO. The decision should be taken out of his hands. I'm not saying we should publicly sideline him because I do believe he deserves more than that. He's not helping his cause by steadfastly refusing to acknowledge that for varying reasons some players are not performing and continually putting out variations of the same team that's getting humiliated week in week out.

| Quote J.T="J.T"Yeah because we were a real force in the Challenge Cup before Kear came along.
He took us from a team who regularly finished second bottom to a team in and around the play offs for 3 years. The cirumstances that have arisen during his time in charge, the death of players, financial meltdown, drug bans, would have seen many others heading to the hills long before now. I'm not disputing that it's time for him to go but I do think that only those with a very hard heart would want to see him forced out before the end of the season.'"
Whether we were a force or not is irrelevant, but that wouldn't matter would as Kear is such a cup king.
By virtue of many arguments Shane McNally should never have been sacked because of his previous achievements. Before that Andy Kelly should still be at the helm after all he got us where we are. You cannot live off past glories as harsh as that is it is an undisputed fact. Yes Kear has gone through a lot whilst coach of Wakefield.
We have a team that many play like that couldn't give a toss and a coach who isn't bothered.
If we were talking everyday work and employees couldn't be bothered they would be reprimanded and eventually shown the door, whether they are staff or management.

You can't but Andy Kelly was very badly treated and should never have been sacked and he don't think he would have been had the whole Pearman thing not happened. I also felt that McNally carried the can and it was the players that got him the sack they obviously didn't like him but he got the results in 2004.
Kear is going, it's 3 more games, we have a licence, we have a team that is woefully devoid of talent due to a financial meltdown at the start of the season, I really don't see what the argument/problem is.

| Of the remaining games the Cas one is the one we as fans most want to win, plus we are on Sky so need to try and give a good account of ourselves. Therefore speaking personally, I want the team to be made up of players who are interested in playing for us and either have been doing their job in the 1st team or have patiently being waiting a chance by playing well in the reserves. These players should be picked in their correct positions and players hopelessly out of form (eg Tommy Lee) and thoses who have never shown any form (eg Jeremy Smith) should not be in the 17.
For some players there is no incentive to up their game cos Kear picks em anyway.
I still think the odds are against us because Sanctuary has conditioned the players all wrong and that aint gonna be rectified until he leaves and cant be sorted until the off-season either. Consequently, we have probably the worst squad in SL in terms of ability and have tied their hands behind their backs by not giving them an edge physically and not giving them a decent structure to work with.

| The point here, regardless of JK's past record, is that if the dressing room has been "lost" then there is no point in Mr Kear being anywhere near the players.
We should either ask Tony Drury to take temporary charge of the first team or even ask Morro, because despite all the problems that we've had this season, the fans should be given something to cheer about.
If this doesnt have an effect, at least we tried.
As things stand, we are in for another 40 point reverse and 80 minutes of one out rugby.

Seems to me that we need a new coach with excellent navigational skills as every coach in the last 25 years has 'lost' the dressing room at some point.

You may be right JT, but even taking into account the strength of the squad this season, I cant remember a group of players playing with so little passion and lack of pride in the shirt.

Where did that get us then before we appointed Kear? It got us finishing 2nd bottom year on year. The only exceptions were when Kelly and McNally were in charge and both of them were removed, wrongly in my opinion, and where did we return to oh yes 2nd bottom again! Kear gave the club stability it has gone wrong this season yet we have still achieved more than anybody expected this season.
