| Personally i felt sorry for Cas n the fans as we know how it feels to get knocked out in that exact same way. I don't think Leeds deserved a win more than Cas did but thats rugby league for ya. All the cas lads worked very hard but only Chase showed the Rick FLAIR wooo. And only Burrow was the threat for Leeds. It wasn't 80 minutes of champagne rugby but it was 80 minutes of digging in and finding the points. Hopefully Wakefield can kick on next season and make a good go of the challenge cup

He did, but he seemed to catch a dose of BBC-itis too. Still nowhere near Ray French's hysterical standards, though. Kear and Woods were easier on the ear.

| cas created very few chances. leeds were better, but kept blowing it. they made it easy for cas to stay in the game by playing one up football in cas's 20. mcdermott is not the messiah.

I feel about as sorry for them as they did for us in an almost identical situation a few weeks ago i.e not in the slightest.

| ...fuming Matterson, who is leaving the club at the end of the season, was outraged by the crucial decision.
McGuire had broken clear just two minutes into extra-time only to be brought down by Australian full-back McGoldrick’s challenge.
“We had that many high shots on us that didn’t get penalised and that one was on the shoulder,” said Matterson.
“To have your dream taken away like that is just not good enough.
“The guys were outstanding (yesterday) but they are inconsolable in there.
“This sort of chance only comes around now and again and to have it taken away like that is pretty cruel.
“We’re up against it enough. The big teams seem to get the roll of the dice. Maybe one day I’ll be with a big team...”
i will say it again AAAAAAAAAHHHAHAHAHA How does it feel cas?

Perhaps they should have a word with their mate McGoldrick then, who by pushing a player over at the ptb then throwing out a lazy arm when he'd been stepped, effectively handed the game to the Whino's?

| Quote bren2k="bren2k"Poetic justice indeed - I'm chuffed to bits about that result, since Wigan are going to destroy Leeds in the final. Well played McGoldrick!
Good old Ray French - I picked up Terry Patterson and Gary Sinfield; any advance on that?'"
You must have missed Ryan MC COLDRICK then ?????

| I thought the ref had a decent enough game, tbh. His touch judges likewise. Haven't seen Leeds pulled up for as many forward passes as that in a long time. It wasn't a decapitation-fest either. Not Bentham's fault that neither team could really capitalise on their opportunities, nor is it his fault that Cas didn't win. If Chase had kicked the eminently kickable drop goal, that would have been it. Game over. It was all in their hands, and they blew it. Just like we did.

I agree - Mr Hicks had a particularly good game with the flag. Some of his colleagues could learn from that display i.e actually wave the frigger when you spot something, instead of playing dumb.

Yep, that's the fella. Nice to see a touch judge earning his coin for once, as you say. The "masters of the flat pass" had that element of their game scrutinised a little more closely, for once.

| Quote Slugger McBatt="Slugger McBatt"Message for the Leeds supporters: if you want to see your team at Wembley, you will have to do that thing called "leaving Leeds". Big three-lane thing at the edge of the city will take you there. Try it, you might like it.'"
Very droll Slugger. Is it still in the same place as last year?
Was the big 3 lane thing actually built the last time Wakey made it to Wembley? I suspect you all piled into a charabanc, complete with Bacon dip butties for the journey, and headed off down the A1
