Better than him saying I've found my comfort zone. To step onto bigger and better things he needs to shine. If he shines for only 1 season it will make the fullback position a bit of a novelty for Wakefield fans. I had no problem with Henry Paul moving on to bigger and better things.

I think he needs to prove himself first! If he is good enough and our new coach wants him to, he may want to stay with us, loyalty and all that!!

I agree, he is being honest and is obviously driven. If he were to sign a 1 year deal to put himself in shop window I could live with that if he puts the effort in.

It would also give us a chance to see him more, and him a chance to see the developments the club is making (ground upgrade), increasing fan base, and all been well recruitment/ performances of next year.

If as we suspect the club will be on the up on all fronts the stepping stone may become more appealing to him and others.

Lets see how good he is first but like you say if he turns out decent and the club goes from strength to strength, he may change his tune.
