I think you may have misconstrued my point old chap, as i mentioned, i'm sure this was just a bad choice of phrasing from PB, and was not directed as a sweeping generalisation towards all the fans, even though at the time it did feel a little like that. As i say, everything is a grey area and i am very much with you that it is good to see a man who is seemingly passionate towards the job he is doing, especially with the limited resources that we have at our club. I am also with you in the fact that if fans just want to turn up simply to slag off the club, don't bother turning up at all, hence why we are known as "supporters" not "abusers" (ok i recognise that line could go anywhere!) But in any line of work where you are the employee, and you start throwing verbal abuse at the customer, irrespective of the line of work you are in or the verbal abuse you have recieved from that person, there are generally going to be repercussions from your employer, and negative responses from the public...
