| Once everyone one was in, I thought it looked about 5k, so it sounds about right.

| For once in RL history we shoud have fiddled the crowd figures up to 8-9k and put a further two fingers up at Red Hall.
Talking of crowds thought it was a very poor crowd at Shudds on Friday to say two top teams playing at the top of their game and wire usually bring a few but Red Hall wont look at that cos they have a nice stadium.

| Good crowd today 5500 was about right and most importantly we got behind the team and left the ground happy and we've not done that at Belle Vue. There seems to be feel good factor around the place with the fans players and club together as one. I noticed a few faces I hadn't seen at belle Vue for a while gradually some of the stairways seem to be returning. Wakefield always has the potential for big crowds with A Gs guidance (and a new ground) hopefully we can reach our potential

I wonder how much home fixtures against the RFL's pet teams costs the proper RL clubs each season, in terms of lost gate and other in-ground revenue?

Huddersfield reckon they lost 40 grand with the Wires game being on TV.

| personally would rather have halifax and widnes in sl than crusaders and quins but thats personal choice! agree with the lost revenue part in travelling away fans.
Unfortunately expansion wount work in my opinion with a single club in wales or down south and it would be better served to have 2 down south and 2 in wales but 4 clubs taking up spots in sl where the support is clearly in yorkshire/ lancashire/cumbria is not a good idea.
To get a team in manchester would have been a better option.
I have no ill feeling towards quins or cru by the way and appreciate they are pro rl teams but i think they do not have the fan base and should not be sitting in sl and when nl would be more ideal for them to build their support bases up.
the phrase of "get your own house in order" first comes to mind. And that is build aa strong competition around Rugby town/cities in the heartlands and then expand outwards when the time comes.
