I think it may be worth starting stuart howarth at stand off.He seems to be our best passer of the ball and read the game pretty well.Playing him there would also give us a bit more of a physical presence which i feel we need at the minute. We can then use Wildie off the bench to take on the hull pack who could tire after what must have been a very tough game at wigan.
Couldn't Davey do the same when the oppositions pack tire though?? And he is a regular hooker and playing players out if position is fine if they show form there (Lee, Hyde) but for the sake of it (Howarth) maybe not.
Would be good to see Wildie have the opportunity to start and control the game as best he can from start and get a foothold as opposed to 30 mins into it when potentially we could be chasing the game and the team having to adapt mid half to a player with a different style.
I'm pretty sure that Howarth has played at stand off a fair bit for the wigan acdemy side so it isn't a strange position for him.I think Hull would target Davey in defence as he isn't the most phyical hooker.Wildie did fine on friday so no problem if he does start and hopefully he will become a regular as he deffo has ability.Playing Howarth at stand off is probably reliant on king being fit so we could start hendo in the second row in howarth's place.
