I gave my name and number to 1 of the suited stewards by the hospitality suite and they said they'd contact me. Wander if he does

| Quote gman93="gman93"The stewards last night made supporters in the corner feel uneasy with there unprofessional toleration toward the fans atleast where I was standing. 20 minutes in a young man threw a bit of fudge to a mate, missing him and hitting a steward in the back of the head (not hard and nothing malicious intended). I was then swarmed 5 minutes later by about 4 steward that then took me to the back and said that "one of the stewards has possitively identified you throwing =#BF0000stones and that hit him in the head".
I pleaded my inocence but he wasnt having it telling me they were to escort me out of the ground. They had words for bout 5 minutes and the lad that did the deed overherd and came forward telling them the story.
They then said that they were sorry, (unconvincingly) and told him he was going. He offerd to go appologise to the steward but they said there was no changing the desision from "head office" and no matter what he was going.
He had to take find his younger brother who was about ten and go.
The club need to sort these stewards out its disgraceful there throw out ask questions later atitude. I paid good money to get in that ground and im not standing for the disrespect given to me'"
Firstly I was impressed with the club employing new stewards, I believe its Showsec who do many events and are and were much more professional than the last outfit we had.
They have a job to do like ensuring people comply with the rules of entry to the ground.
Chucking fudge etc or throwing anything should not be tolerated and support the stewarding on this just like the stadium is no no smoking you wouldnt think so at times but hopefully showsec will get to grips with all the slack practice of the past.
Sorry mate but I have no sympathy with your gripe.

It may be the right desision to throw out the lad who did the throwing. But I give him credit for coming forward and admiting, hence saving me from an unjust expulsion from the ground. As I wrote earlier they said I was "possitively identified". How can this be if I never actually threw anything?

| IMO the lads were not at all threatening and they were treated appaulingly by the stewards who should have applied more common sense to a bit of playful behaviour that went wrong.
If these lads are not what we want at BV - then we may as well pack up now!

Its your complaint, so its your responsibility to contact the club, not someone else's to contact you.

Playful behaviours OK, but we can't tolerate people chucking stuff around. I got dirty looks a few years ago for telling kids to stop chucking sweets at the ref as he stood near the touchline for a kick - if one had hit him (Klein) we could easily have been kicked out of SL for an Opal Fruit!
Singing, chanting, jumping around - OK - in fact I'd like to see and hear a bit more of it, we could take a cue from the Wire fans last night. Throwing stuff, even playfully, should be met with zero tolerance.

| The ticket stub says the throwing of any object in the ground is strictly forbidden, so they were just following the rules

| Throwing should not be tollerated so for me it sounds like the stewards did their job.

| Daddy cool came past me before the game and threw at least 2/300 mini choc bars at the crowd, not one single steward tried to throw him out.

well throwing stuff at refs is a diferent matter, like the time when Wally Lewis was sent off at Headingley and snowballs were thrown in the refs direction.
