| not at all, unlike others i believe destiny lies in your own hands and we will either be awarded a licence because we're judged to be one of the 14 best companies to put forward their plan. What Wakefield does does not affect our bid IMO - you are trying to climb a rope with greasy hands!! i hope you can rebuild for the sake of your long serving supporters who deserve better.

Are you quite sure about that?
IF Wakefield, do indeed get bought by this guy, who we are all hoping for, and he funds the purchase of some quality players, midway through the year we get the nod for NM, and we have a half decent season, do you not think we have a fair chance of retaining a franchise?
I appreciate that theirs quite a few IFs involved but, sources close to the club suggest that this investor is hours rather than days away from concluding the deal, NM is now being looked at individually by the SoS this suggests to me that we will not be waiting too long, and with a strengthened squad we could easily have a fair season.
Added to all that, a big businessman is going to get assurances from the RFL that his venture is secure, perhaps aided by a little sweetener by way of some sponsorship elsewhere in the RFL circles.
Now then tell me again that it doesnt affect Cas/A.N.Other Club/The RFLs plans!!!

| I don't think there's anything special about a bespoke timetable, afaik all cases referred by SoS come under the bespoke timetable malarkey and it's just an attempt to be more efficient and flexible but doesn't necessarily mean it will be any quicker, although it could be.

look at widnes last time round, they were bought out but still didn't get a license. the rfl can't just simply allow this sort of thing to happen and just let clubs get away with it. Crusaders are a different case as they are an expansion club.
If Wakefield enter administration, which I would think is fairly certain. and the rfl grant them a license they will be staring at a hefty law suit from the widnes camp
cas will get their groud admitted in the coming months and construction will begin, setting their bid up nicely, cas ATM are run great as a club on and off the field, surely Wakefield have no bearing on their bid at all. it's merely optimistic Wakefield fans trying to sleep at night

We are working to the their deadline of 3rd March which gives us a final deadline of Monday 28th February (the end of February) for the Statements as our deadline at the moment. Once I have spoken to her directly I will definitely confirm this and hopefully have more information on the time-line for the whole PI.'"
IA, do we have a timetable for the Public Enquiry yet? I know it was muted a couple of weeks back that we were expecting the dates?

Why? The rules have been changed since Widnes went into administration. Plus we are constantly told that the franchise procedure forbids member clubs pursuing any sort of legal action.
If we end up with a very wealthy backer and NM on the horizon and playing out of a SL standard ground until its ready, then based on the bid for the [u next[/u 3 years licence, we are likely to have one of the best 14 bids - its as simple as that

1) contradicted yourself somewhat, the rules are the rules and for franchise all clubs should compete equally and fairly.
2) member clubs of SL cannot sue the RFL. or they would have been sued previously.
3) i was told yesterday that although FPP had been submitted payment had yet to be received.
