So it doesn't matter that he's completely out of his depth, as long as he's "one of our own"? I don't want to pick a fight, as I agree with you on most points you make on here, but simply putting up with such people in vital positions at our club is a recipe for mediocrity - and that's excatly what we have been receiving for years. Surely it's time for a new broom at the club.

Can't comment on Elston as I've never had dealings with him, but have with other members of staff, past and present, and your point rings true. Why employ those with the skills when you can employ 'our own' because they're loyal and (probably) cheap? If they are out of their depth, so be it.

You sure?? Don't know his current salary but i know what Hull KR were paying him and if we are paying half of what he was on there, he's not on a bad number.

I certainly don't wish to pick a fight with you and I agree that you are entitled to feel angry at the current situation and perhaps a little frustration at my position over the years. All I can say is that I have done, and continue to do, everything I can for the best for the club and it's fans - and I do it for free - and up until now Ted has been the club.

Guys, we are facing the toughest time in the history of this once great Club. The last thing we need is to fall out with each other. By all means have opinions but for God's sake lets stick together because I'm sure we're going to be needed more than ever.

Whatever happens in the next week or so, departure of the current owner, new owners or whatever but one thing is certain the supporters will still be here and may need to play a part in the future of the Club.

Can't knock your efforts mate, you've gone beyond the call of duty. But like the rest of us, probably even more so, you've been led up the garden path and lied to by a complete little s**t of a man. The fact that so many people refuse to do business with the club has been a tell tale sign for a long time. There is no defending what he's done when its blatently obvious that everything hes done wasn't in the clubs best interests. Far from it.

was talking to a neighbour that hadn't heard the news as yet, his wife stormed into the house hearing the news and he just ranted on about how many is waiting for ted and co to go to get involved.

It is a difficult place I find myself - but also one from which I can hopefully play some small role in the future of the club, even if it is just trying to keep things smooth on NM.

When I reflect on what I've done, there is little I would change, although there are few things said which I can regret. I have always made it clear that I beleive that all supporters should be treated with equal respect - a belief which fits ever so nicely into the Trust ideal!
