As a Cas fan & a reader of these forums, but until now previously not a poster. It seemed obvious to me that the Lockwood Article in the Trade Press last week was pointing Wakefield Fans towards the direction that would lead to the answers about why your club is such a financial car crash.
Lockwood asked the simple question "Who owns the ground Ted?"
I felt that some of you may of pursued this line of enquiry, as they say you can lead a horse to water but you can't force it to drink. So as a friendly neighbor I thought I would take a drink on your behalf. The information that you need is in the public domain. If you do land search on the land registry website at a cost of £4.50 you can see that Belle Vue was sold as long ago as mid 2007 for £2,800 000 to a company based in the Isle of Man called Tillion. The land registry states that Tillion is a partnership of Southwell, the Southwell trust & Jadine; all registered in the Isle of Man.
The Land registry shows that 3 companies hold a charge on Belle Vue namely The Royal Bank of Ireland, Walkers Solicitors Leeds & Wakefield Trinity RLFC.
To the trained eye this looks like the deal structured between Wakefield Trinity RLFC and Tillion went as follows:
Sales Price: £2,800 000
Tillion raise a deposit payment from Royal Bank of Ireland who in turn take a charge on the ground in order to secure their loan to Tillion. Tillion have probably not paid their solicitors so Walkers Solicitors have also taken a charge on Belle Vue, the third charge is held by Wakefield Trinity RLFC in order to secure the balance payment on the transaction from Tillion.
So the reason why you are in a financial car crash and fighting your third winding up petition is because Tillion have not made the balance payment to Wakefield Trinity RLFC and this is likely to be a substantial figure.
So the question is, why haven't you sued Tillion?
Pleased to be of help, you should look towards Tillion as all this talk of Calla Homes and York Court buying Belle Vue is a loss leader. The buyer is Tillion and you should be chasing them.

I bet you had a quick look before you deleted it though?
