I suggest it is you that should get real and wake up to what is actually happening.

Whatever peoples opinion TR is a succesful businesman and succesful businessmen are not in the habit off giving money away.

Let me put it simply for you:

4 super league players on 100k / year

Release those players and sign 4 average players on 30k / year

Savings = 280k

Now tell me an investor cannot recoup the money and while there may be money left over it has still gone but to the investor who wants his money back.

You have looked at the squad for this season?

You are presuming that up to this year having paid those players 100 K , you were breaking even , quite possibly the 280 K might be a normal seasons loss , one that he is unwilling or unable to sustain any more , so yes this seasons squad might not be able to perform to recent standards , maybe things have just come home to roost at a most inconvenient time for WTW

Probably 90 percent of pro sports clubs owners do exactly that , they are successful businessmen , then they take over at a charity which is better known as a football/rugby/RL club , they then forget everything they ever did to make them ' successful ' in business

The blame has to fall at the feet of Tony Martin, he was at the London Broncos they went into financial ruin. He played for us and we are on the brink, then went to Crusaders they went into administration. Just saying no smoke without fire.

Joking aside, I don't think either Pearman or Richardson can be held completely accountable. The problems we have now are a product of not moving with the times. The problems started before many of us on here started watching Wakefield, maybe even before many of us were born. It is fair to say that from 1960 to 1963 we were a, if not the dominant team in the league and kept that going for around about another 5yrs or so not as successfully. The problem is that the club has always been run like a family business not a Professional Sports Club. As the club have got older we have looked more like an also ran rather than a club of any substance. Yes our attendances have dropped over the decades but who's hasn't? We can point the finger at the stay away supporters and say get down to Belle Vue because that is one reason we are like we are. The truth is that because of the decline of the club for the last 40yrs + we are trying to play catch up by charging higher gate entry fees, granted not as high as some but they have a product to sell to their public. If we had just had some stability in the past we wouldn't be where we are now.

Some have said that we have had the most success while in the super league with the play-offs and a cup semi final. As in the past we failed to build on that and always will unless something changes.

IMHO going into administration wouldn't be the end of the world and would more good than harm. The thing that does kill you only makes you stronger. We need to learn from our mistakes of the past and build for a future, Super League is here to stay whether in it's current form or not, with us or without us only time can answer that one.

I don't care what competition it is I go watch I only care that it is Wakefield Trinity (with or without) Wildcats competing. Honestly I don't even care if it is at Newmarket or Belle Vue.

Most players are treated like crap by most clubs they are either not paid enough and leave for more money , ie clubs fault

Or they are not offered a new contract and leave , ie clubs fault

Same with coachs , they are either successful and leave for somewhere better or are not good enough and are sacked

You have entirely missed the point, that if they want the money back they can get the money back, and any investor can if they wish call in there loans.

I merely point out that it would be a logical decision if TR decided to do this and it would certainly cause the situation we are currently in. Then again no one on the forum has the full facts or do they
