Despite the fact that rugbyball is a bit of a tosspot, she does have a point. If one of the conditions of SL is that you must be backed to the value of £650k, who is? And is that why ted is now so keen to relinquish control?

It isn't a condition of SL ... but it was for us at that moment in time following the Pearman fiasco and we were in a CVA for 3 years.

The figure of £650,000 was our salary cap at that time - so Ted had to guarantee all players were paid till the end of the season to prevent the Club folding mid-season.

Ok seems understandable, I would still think that SL would expect some kind of financial guarantee though that it's member clubs can compete for the season, after all it doesn't want clubs dropping out halfway because of financial problems or having to bail out crippled clubs.
It's not just us that seem to be operating at a loss, so clubs being bankrolled must still have to be able to guarantee coninuation in the competition if those backers do a Leighton Samuel!!
