Remember seeing an interview with Purdham and I think he stated that it was Kear that first pushed him into the Pro game and selected him for his first junior representative games etc, there is clearly a link so who knows.
He is a very good player and would be a quality signing not least because he is also handy with the boot both in hand and off the floor.
Will be interesting to see what news comes out of Quins tonight re the positive announcement as at the moment it really does seem like a case of rats leaving a sinking ship.
