He was a lovely man. Always willing to talk and even though he worked for the club, he was really passionate about rugby league and Trinity.

Ben was an absolute gentleman and friend as well as a damn good physio.

I can't recall my early days at Trinity without Ben figuring in there somewhere amongst the likes of Lampy, Keith Rayne and all.

As someone said earlier he always had time to talk and never failed to ask about my family and chat about Trinity in the 70s and 80s. I last spoke with him about 18 months ago in the city centre and he was as passionate as ever about Wakefield Trinity!

He is indeed another sad loss and he joins Paddy up there in his celestial physio room, no doubt treating Ken Hirst, Don Fox, Toppo, Keith Smith and many other legends of the club who are sadly no longer with us.

Another link with our glory days has gone and we might never see his like again.
