| Cas fan here. It's heartbreaking to hear all threatened clubs' fans pushing others for the chop rather than themselves, it's getting a bit undignified. Stick a roof on your uncovered terrace and get seating for the length of one touchline that will replace that hideous old stand. Cas do the same. That's all Leeds have done. HKR, Bradford, Salford etc you do the same too. Come on boys be positive and stop chasing stadia that will cripple us financially. We're only there for a short time to watch a game. The atmosphere generated in these stadia is better than any concrete and plastic arena that some of our clubs are tenants in. Match action is what it's all about and meeting your fellow and rival fans. At the end of the game, all fans merge for a drink behind our main stand. We talk and laugh and have some banter. Communal space, activities, good service and a share and feel for our sport. Don't let the suit boys and accountants take you to their packaged worlds that suck the life from our sport. Franchises...makes me laugh. We're people from Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria, we're not football supporters, we have something unique and our people are unique. Stick together and upgrade your traditional stadiums, keep your local talent and stop fearing the worst. If you have hard times then bounce back. We did!!
Good luck to you brothers and sisters.

| Quote: ambernotyeller "I think most S/L home attendances are falling, the question remains , can any S/L club take a hit of £40000 or even more conservatively £20000 four times a season ?
Is the game so rich ??'"
It certainly isn't and there lies the issue. The decisions are being taken by commercially naive administrators who are failing to promote an effective strategy. But why should they worry? They will run the sport into the ground and move on to jobs selling widgets!

| In reply to The Devil's Advocate, (can't do the fancy quotes!), the RL Express quote states: 'Should they satisfy each one of these requirements, they are then entitled to throw their hat in the ring for a spot in Super League. They will then be measured alongside the existing 14 license holders, in the following areas: ......... etc'
Which, to me, does imply that it is a 'competition' between Superleague clubs and the Championshiop contenders.

That's what they are good at.

Whilst I appreciate your point regarding the RL Express, I was of the understanding that, at least one Championship club would get the nod in March. I’ve no idea where the RL Express has got that information from.
Quote: PHe "The RFL has confirmed that, subject to fulfilling their minimum criteria, at least one Championship club will be awarded a Super League spot next March.
The RFL has also confirmed Super League will stay at 14 clubs - leaving the current teams facing an anxious wait.'"

'"
It was a quote from RFL compliance manager Blake Solly.
See my earlier post, that is why I said they were doing their usual trick and contradciting themselves in the same article.
