I'm not saying Kear is the man, but Poching certainly isn't.
Went above and beyond as a player for us, but sentiment should not decide who should be coach. Ability and a proven track record should.
Or just appoint an aging player/assistant coach cos it's cheaper, obviously.'"
Just a suggestion, Willie kept us in SL basically on his own, helped take Leeds to the next level and has spent many years there learning the ins and outs of a champion side. He's also a good talker judging by his occasional radio appearances.
I like the way he played and the heart he showed, I like the respect the fans showed him even whilst at Leeds, he'd start with 100% backing and appreciation from the fans. I could imagine he'd be 100% dedicated to providing quality RL to the fans that he's said "He will never forget." not side tracked by TV appearances and sunny deals in France. Young coaches are the way forward now and who better?
