Quote Wembley '83="Wembley '83"Long since lost track of how rules for SL quota & non fed work but he is not a quota player at Championship Level. Papua New Guinea is covered by the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotonou_AgreementCotonou Agreement[/url so subject to visa/permit Papuans are not classed as overseas players. Of course this being RL there is no guarantee that the same rules apply to all clubs/competitions.'"
Under SL rules I would have thought he would count as Non-federation trained (not quota) but assuming the number of non-fed places reduces along with the quota places then still not worth taking that place either IMO.
This year it is 6 non-fed of which 5 can be Quota players I believe. Is next year 5 non-fed of which 4 can be quota????
Perhaps someone can confirm but my thoughts are that we currently have:
Quota - BJ, Morrison, Millard, Obst
Non-Fed - Laeano
I know BJ and now Morrison are signed up for next year already. I think we signed Millard on 2 year deal. Sam I believe is also signed up for 2011. That would mean the only overseas place we have for next year is the non-fed place and so Jesse Joe Parker is maybe a gamble we can't afford at this moment in time. Hoping to see enough from Charlie to mean he will take that place next year.
