Agreed, deregister him, allow him to run on water, get his testimonial and then work with the kids and develop correct attiduted, free up some valuable cap money and get someone who wan play in their own position properly

| Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"I'm not much of a statto, but I'll wager that his win to game ratio at wakey is better than any other SL coach with a comparable salary cap spend, and better than a lot with higher spend!!!
That to me makes him a quality coach and asset to our club.
Where he is, in my mind up for some slinging is the disasterous decision re : broughy!!
The money this club has trousered this season needs to be spent on a suitable brough replacement, because we are in great need.'"
I hear what you say about Kear and he has done IN THE PAST an admirable job with limited resources at Wakey. But there is no room for sentiment,at what point do you think enough is enough?I think now, when the players exhibit a lack of desire or motivation and the coach has run out of tactical ideas.

I disagree, it's not widespread but some of our players aren't prepared to graft and suck it up in defence. Maybe it's composure or their mental attitude but it seems we have a defeatisted attitude and our heads go down far too easily.
In attack we didn't support the man, we lacked any runners. Maybe that's coaching, but i think that's lazy and whenever you watch the likes of Hudds or Wigan they work alot harder for one another. Maybe it's their conditioning i'm unsure

| IMO alot of the problems we have are fairly basic rugby league skills :
1. Move up in a line in defence - not 2 m and stand waiting for the opposition
2. Support the ball carrier
3. Take the ball to the line Draw a man and then pass the ball rather than just along the line
4. stand square at the play the ball (how many times did we get penalised for that tonight)
The players we have should be able to put these basic skills into practice and if they aren't the coaching staff should address the issues.
The basic skills are not being executed and the blame for this lies as much with the coaching staff as the players

If we got around £150k for Atkins when he had (I think) 3 years left on his contract, then anything in excess of £50k would represent very good value for Brough approaching the end of his contract.
Given that Hudds could have signed Brough for nothing at the end of the season (and they weren't exactly short of options at half-back) I'd be worried if I was a Hudds fan and found that anything near £50k had been paid as a fee to Wakey.
As a shareholder I will certainly be asking for answers on this.

but the truth is...that while we won the CC in the league our form was erratic and we'd often produce some shocking displays.
don't get me wrong that day in 2005 is the best day I've had as a Hull fan, but to suggest it was that level of performance every week in the league just isn't true.

And after our (and Sheffield's) moment in the spotlight, what did he achieve then?
Kear is a technical coach FULL STOP.
He and Wakey should accept that fact. Sheffield did and so did Hull FC.
I once told Shaun McCrae that JK was his best signing. Unfortunately when Bomber went back to Aus, the Hull board took the cheap option and appointed Kear. He has an ability to motivate a team for a number of games a year but that is a limited number. I also believe that he gets too close to some players and that causes factions in the sheds.
He wasn't best loved by two of the most professional players that have ever pulled on the black & white hoops. When you lose the respect of players like Kearney and more especially Swain, then you really do have a problem.

| =#4000BFI am a massive fan of JK and the work that he has done for Wakefield over the years. However I too am now starting to think that his tactical know how is somewhat lacking.
I don't mind watching the team lose ( we are all used to that ). Its the effort and performance on the field that counts. At the moment we have nothing but rubbish rugby on the field and a coach that can't change things.
The only way forward for the club however is for Mr Richardson to sell up and move out. The club and super league is too big for him financialy. Very good in div 1 but now out of his deapth. A good well run club off the field will mirror itself on it.
THE PROBLEMS ARE UPSTAIRS

Agreed.
I don't think Kear is the problem. I think the problems are coming from higher up. I'd be interested to see what would have happened if Eric France and Steve Ferres had been allowed to join the board a couple of years back.
