| cooke has been awful since signing with us! iv seen him play 3 times and not once have i seen him do anything to make me think he is worthy of getting in the first team...or even worth signing for that matter. he is hardly ever around the play of the ball (and when he is offers very little), he doesnt look interested, never takes control, i only noticed one kick from him tonight and it is ridiculous to think that he can replace broughy.
on a side note, i saw alot of players (BJ, Obst and JD being the most obvious) moaning and sulking when things didnt go their way. there is very little support for one another

| clearly he is not match fit yet. also he is a stand off and should either be picked in that position or not picked at all. he does not work hard enough for a 13 so until he does something worthy of ousting BJ (not looking likely anytime soon) then he should not be in the team.
seems to me JK picks his favourite players then tries to make some sort of line up.
lets just try picking the best available players in the correct positions

No excuse for that, he should be match fit and if he's not then its down to him.

| Quote: bellycouldtackle "Would help if Latu and Obst could pass. Cooke gets slow ball from these two, often over his head or if lucky behind him normally on his boot laces. He will look better when Davey gets back. He is the only player in the squad who can create a try from a well timed pass ( see Wigan away ) he reads the game well, often clearing up from kicks that our other players stand and watch. His defence at Hull was good, looked after Luaki ( sp ) well. Yes he did not move up when Tansey created their first try but if Blanch had done his job well, something he has not done all season it would not have mattered.
Like it or not we have two players who can create something, Cooke and Jeffries. Both of these lads need support from their team mates. Jeffries needs players to follow his half breaks ( Morrison did this well when fit ) and Cooke needs the outside backs to read his game, a winger who hugs the touch will score tries when Cooke plays. Blaymire looked good at Wigan running of Cookes passing.
Cooke is a good player, playing in a team of honest lads doing their best. Some of the vitriol on here is beyond reason.
Look at our team sheet , how many of our squad would get in any other top 10 team. I left the KC stadium knowing that our lads had given their best, our defence was good, we just do not have the attacking skills to trouble most SL teams. Lots of honest endeavour and effort, not much skill. A player like Newton of Drew would have created several tries at Hull. Its a pity we lost Newton and Brough but life goes on, as long as I see 100% from my team I can live with it. I am the first to have a pop at the players when I think I see a lack of effort ( Huddersfield at home, Brough at Hull Kr, Tronc`s last three games, Blanch at Wigan )'"
A really excellent post amongst the complete dog I have had to endure on here (both negative and positive) over the last few days and weeks.
