Seems a good deal - having no idea on how good either player is -getting rid of someone who wants to be elsewhere in favour of someone who is more advanced in terms of getting into the 1st team.

My only concern is that good quality British halves are as rare as rocking horse poop and Southernwood does look like he has the potential to become one of those.
I think he has a big future in the game and while to be fair I know little of Hyde he will have to be a very good player to be worth releasing Southernwood for.

Many have said he has the ability but his attitude stinks. If what MOPSEY says is true then Bradford will have their work cut out turning him into the player his potential deserves. Granted all HB's need a little bit of arrogance and cockiness but if he was refusing to follow team instructions and getting ahead of his station with what he thinks he's worth then he can have all the ability in the world he will find his path to the very top difficult. |

Iagree with the fact that he would have struggled to oust jeffries. I can only hope and pray that next year he would have been struggeling to oust Thurston. |
