same thing happened to a friend of mine when we were just teenagers
I played with him all through school and at the local club, then he had a terrible accident while playing for Milford (Adam Hughes was in the same team that day, among others that turned pro, Killer definitely would have followed them into professional rugby league)
I know now he does work for the benevolent fund and is involved with Steve Prescott doing a lot of fundraising for cancer charities etc
