As long as the club set DB a date in the not so distant future to confirm his intentions, then I don't have an issue.

Scenario 1: DB wants to stay and signs his contract
Scenario 2: DB decides his future lies elsewhere, we keep him until his contract expires. In the interim period we have got plenty of time to secure a top class half back to replace him for 2011. If the stories are even vaguely accurate regading the size of the contract, then that kind of money would get us a better player than DB.

What I wouldn't want to see is the club panicking and looking for a replacement now, we have got plenty of time.

I have read it now - and I know nothing about any move by John Kear and, like the rest of us, I will be a little nervous until somebody has that job!

Does he still have it though? Can't say I've watched him game in, game out over the last year. However, from what I have seen he hasn't often come up to scratch and looks unfit. The fact that the only club he was supposed to be truly happy at is willing to get rid of him is rather telling for me.

I suppose that's up to JK, worth the risk i reckon.
