I didn't go today but I did listen to the whole commentary and it seems we competed very well but lacked the killer touch to finish off our moves.

From what the commentators were saying BJ had a tremendous game and Terry Newton seems to have fitted in very nicely, linking up with BJ and Broughy and showing a very good kicking game.

They seemed to think that we would have a very tough pack which any team in the league would find it hard to get past.

Dale Ferguson came in for some special praise due to his workrate and defensive prowess, Chris Anakin was likened to Ferguson and also received a lot of praise for his brutal defence. When listening to the commentary it didn't seem like Anakin was out of his depth and they marked him down as someone to look out for.

Dale Morton also came over very well and it seemed he was doing a lot of good things apart from scoring the opening try.

Luke George seems to be picking up where they left off last year and here's a bold prediction from me, I think he will be in the England side at the end of this year. Either on the wing or depending on whether some of the pretenders to Martin Gleeson's centre spot finally decide to show their true colours I think George could possibly end up in the centres.

Lastly, I've been touting Ben Jones Bishop for the last couple of years and obviously the opportunity to sign him on loan was there and we've missed out to Harlequins. The kid is all class and has an absolutely brilliant future ahead of him it would have been nice to see him in a Wakefield Trinity shirt even if it was temporary.

Well summed up by Kear. For me Murphy was superb at fullback, Morton looked a threat near to the line and made some good yards, Davey created one try with a break from the halfway line and scored another clever try. King and Moore looked good in the forwards and Hendo and Fergy were the busy bodies as normal.

From what I saw today I would agree with you.
