Newton is deadwood, when he got injured and it was down to Godwin, we got better and we didn't lose our last 6-7 matches of the season

Kear told BBC Radio Leeds: "If I was going to put a bet on it I'd bet pretty solidly that Paul would be joining us.
The coach added: "I think how things are looking at the moment as long as we can dot the i's and cross the t's it should be a relatively safe bet."
Kear doesn't say this unless he's signed.

I have a lot more faith in Kear as a coach to get the best out off Newton then I do with Mcnamara. Dave Halley is a name that springs to mind!

Lol we'll see. Ever heard the song lyrics A change would do you good?
Typical Bulls fan, still think they're up there with the best of em and everyone who leaves is useless and everyone who joins is great.

Perhaps, but just because you've signed him, doesn't mean he's any good.
Last season, Newton was slow, unfit and dis-interested.
If John Kear can spark him up a bit, you might have a decent player on your hands. But having watched him at Bradford for the last few years I honestly think you've been sold a bit of a lemon

If that's your honest opinion - fair enough.
For my money though JK's opinion is worth considerably more.
IMO Terry is the type of player who needs to move on to a fresh challenge and he seems to have become stale - for whatever reason, possibly no-one's fault - and I guess JK is challenging himself and the player to get him back to something like his best.
I wouldn't like to think of us signing players like this with a rookie coach at the helm - I'd give you that!

here, here
You can tell from Newtons interview that he wanted a new challenge.
''I had an opportunity to stay at Bradford for a further 12 months but I felt my career was going a bit stale at Bradford.''
"I wasn't enjoying my rugby as much as I should have done. For the last season or season and a half, it was getting a bit monotonous.''

Seems like he wasn't enjoying his time there. I think a shake up will do him the world of good.

| I'll be honest with you I didn't like him when he was at wigan and bradford because of the way he plays, he's a very much in your face type player that won't take to much crap, niggally in the tackle and looking for that gap, sooooo pleased he his on our side with him BJ and Morrison they should have enough on the bulls this year to get some pay back
