For some reason it just doesn’t seem to work for Bibb at Trinity (kind of the opposite of Korkidas). He showed glimpses of potential whilst on loan at Hull KR and perhaps a change would seem him build upon those good showings. Not all young props are going to burst onto the scene like Burgess and Graham, Trinity had Peacock when he was a youngster and deemed him not good enough. Whether the club can afford to wait for him to develop or indeed other suitors swoop for him by the time he comes good is another thing. Bibey appeared to be pretty much an average plodder in his time with Wakefield up until this season where he has been a revelation and seemed a completely different player and he’s 27/28.
I agree with the anti-Korki Khlav. In the same way it is working at Trinity for Korki it just isn't working for Bibb. I'd let him go with good wishes and hope he develops somewhere else.
Which brings us to another point.......is bibey really going to play in Championship 1? Effectively 2 levels less than us? I'd have him back as 4/5 prop if he wanted to.
For me, he just lacks aggression, and in someone young, that can be down to just a slight lack of confidence in himself and concentrating on his game rather than relying on instinct. As he learns to do things without thinking about it as much, he will become a better player. He will get bigger and stronger as he gets older, and he will start to boss the opposition a bit more.
It doesn't mean that we let him take the place of someone else, but I'm not going to write him off, and next year he will be a better player.
