If you want to vote based on acheivement in terms of coming back from injury/illness fine, but if others want to vote on who they believe is the outstanding performer from that list, what's the problem?'"
Exactly!
I based my opinion on the fact that I've played and watched both sports and think the step up from local football to league one is a huge one which Oli has taken in his stride brilliantly.
Moore has never taken a huge step like that in his rugby career, he started at big clubs and had a temper and attitude problem and dropped down a level. His career was re-ignited by Kear with a last chance and he's grabbed that with both hands.
To overcome his illness problems and get back to the level he is now performing at again has to be applauded and it's testament to the lads hard work and desire.
I played against Oli a couple of seasons ago though and although I thought he was good, I thought I'd played against a number of lads of equal or better ability. For him to be playing and scoring goals in a mid table league one side now though totally eclipses anything Moore has ever done IMHO. That's a phenomenal step up in such a short space of time...
