Yes at that age I would After leaving school at 18 went to College and didn't earn a penny till I was 21.

... and to be fair the potential rewards longer term during their career are by far more than many of us would earn.

I like Anekin as a player but think he needs time to develop further physically, he is a robust lad who can cause the academy standard players trouble but i think he needs to grow a few inches to be a secondrow. If he remains the same size and build he currently is I would think he may get a run at hooker to see how he goes, very much in the Andy Speak mould type player.

At this stage I'd liken him to Tommy Haughey who was an absolute revelation at academy level, used to run similar angles and bust through tackle after tackle. Don't think he got physically bigger and stronger though and just failed to make the top grade.

That's the problem with a lot of these lads, they need to carry on developing and make that huge step up, if three or four of this lot can make the step then that will be great news for the club...
