you know this is probably best news for the future all year!
we only need one or two of these to develop in to top class players and we have a major result!

west ham used to do it in girlypuffball, their academy was the best and they accepted they would lose a few but they had joe cole frank lampard rio ferdinand, carrick all in one two year period and it funded club for ten years!

the think is if these lads stay together it will be like the ninties when wigan could just wave a magic wand and they would appear, the young ones are looking very good indeed

Fareplay to Wigan they played well, more so in the second half.
Pity for our boys as I think it would of been a great match between yourselves and us to decide the league...

League decided now however so a big well done. Although our paths will cross next week, it will be the playoffs that will now be of interest to all taking part, should be a good series.....

you had a bit of a bummer today you beat wires but still dropped a position with bradford getting a higher score line, do you think that you can still do it, leeds yes but saints are a good side and bradford haven't given up yet you do have a game in hand

A lot will depend on injuries.

Liam Farrell got injured in the reserves today.
Ainscough is also out for the season as is Stuart Howarth.
Mossop and Flanagan have been moved up to first team to accommodate injuries there.

That means that the U18 lads have to move up to reserve level.

Not excuses just an explanation.

If Wigan could play the five or six U18 players that played at reserve level today and beat Wire 66 - 6 IMO they would win the U18 academy comp.

It'll be interesting to see how they mix n match in the play off games as it looks as though they have the top spot at reserve level won.
