| Im absolutely gutted about Rooney! really quite sad to see him leave.
Ive enjoyed watching the bloke over the years, his style is quite unique.
i would have liked him finish with Trinity.good luck Jamie.

| Just wanted to wish Jamie and his family all the best for the future.
Could never understand the reason Steadman didn't rate him when he played those four loan games for Cas ,Big Big mistake imho!

Languid, slow and predictable (only last few years) but when he was good he'd actually make breaks and back himself unlike now, he at time was very competent in Sl level and had a acceptable kicking rate and a fairly good kicking game, he could put people through gaps and had more passes in his locker than the "drop off" pass, now the standards have raised and he hasnt built on his potential. Sad really but we've got to and have moved on.

SLOW ? funny that, looked pretty fast racing back 90 yards to catch Kevin Brown ! if thats slow, then the rest of our squad are pedestrian.

| spot on. sport is brutal. probably not slow but there are far too many faults in his game nowadays and for past 2 seasons. And soo very predictable. I put it mainly down to injuries over 2 years.
Does anybody think Southernwood could make the step up and learn with brough next year?

Got your wish then!
Rooney Man of the Match! No mention of Trin though.
They have also just said he will be ineligible for the Northern Rail Final.

| Think both parties have done well out of this relationship over the years. We have had a loyal, sometimes brilliant (if a little under acheiving) player who appeared a good representative of the club and all round genuine bloke, he got a nice wedge that allowed him to look after his family the best way he could and (I would imagine) plenty of support.
Time to move on though, new arrangement probably benefits both too.
Thanks Jamie, good luck.

| Some top quality kicks also especially the 40/20 that bounced out about 2 inch from the corner flag, he didn't have a brilliant game but then who'd expect him when he's not even spent 24 hours with his team mates.
But yes he deserved his award and some part of his game we will miss and other well we wont

Agreed. Posted pretty much the same on the Barrow match thread too. If he had the form he had at the start of last season when he played alongside Brough, he would definitely be in, for mine. Seems those who are in a position to judge him better see it differently, though, and they should know.
