For me atkins only seems interested when theres a sniff of a try and he needs to improve his defence imho.

On his day he can be as good an offensive centre as there is in SL, the problem seems to be these days are very infrequant, added to this his positioning in defence is questionable. His tackleing is usually sound just his position in the line and this leaves either gaps or the wing short of support.
In all fairness I thought these were his weeknesses last season aswell and hoped JK would have progressed him a bit by now, after all it's not long since he was being mentioned as a GB player.

You know me to well

Atkins ball in hand can be dangerous. We need to get him more ball in attacking situations.i also believe he needs to take it on himself to get more involved. For me he could be outstanding!

Atkins is a quality centre and given the right service you would see it week in week out. The problem we have is that we do not have a decent stand off at the club to provide that service.

cant agree with that. it is oh so easy to criticize someone as not looking interested if they aren't performing at their peak, when in reality there are many more likely factors to be contributing to below par performance.

What I like about Atkins is when he takes the ball up he on most occassions will break through the first tackle. I think it is harsh to say he isnt interested - He didnt get sin binned at Headingly because he wasnt interested. About time a few others got fired up like that, Cant remember the last time there was a flare up at BV.
