Are you around the ages of 16-24?
Are you a proud fan of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats?
Do you want to do more for the club than just attend matches?
Well this is your chance!
At Monday nights WiSCA committee meeting, the club were given the go ahead to start a new branch of the supporters club for young supporters in and around the age of 16 to 24.
This new group will be called the ‘Wakefield Red & Blue' and will be chaired by Wakefield Wildcats supporter Steven Murgatroyd. Hopefully this group can work with young supporters of the club to enhance there game day experience, as well as hosting external events targeted towards young people to raise funds and awareness of the club.
As the group grows the club will be able to add further incentives, and host more events and also the group is absolutely free to join.
The principle behind ‘WRB’ is to give as great a number of Wakefield supporters as possible the chance to state their concerns and put forward ideas to the club’s board in a rational manner.
The group will be ran by its own committee, thereby avoiding the possibility of any one individual taking an autonomous decision making role. Any member of the group can apply to be on the committee and any application will be warmly welcomed.
The ‘WRB’ is here to serve the young supporters of the club and will act as a group for those young fans to turn to in order for their voice to be heard. Those individuals who want their views heard should join this group, and the group can then state their case to the club and to WiSCA without fear of individual ‘retribution’ from the club.
