| Just about every team does these days but on Friday we were lucky if we made 10 metres with the first 3 drives and it was only when the forwards took it up on the remaining 2 tackles, before the kick, that we actually got any forward momentum.

| Our wingers aren't really built for making the hard yards, BJB just gets battered. TJ has a good step but everyone puts 3 defenders in front of him.
We'd have to move Tupou to the wing IMO if we want someone to just run the ball in.

Prefer to leave wingers as they are, forwards can run the ball in, with the wingers helping as and when.
I agree with what someone has said though, that that ploy is much more effective when we're on the front foot and going forward!

| Think what the other night showed is that there is a togetherness and Chester hasn’t lost the dressing room as some have been saying. When a coach of any sporting team loses a dressing room, they don’t collectively put that amount of effort in.
From the interview in the week where MC joined in its clear he is still backing his coach...not because they’re good mates as people say in here, but because unlike us fans he’s in and around the club on a daily basis and sees first hand the troubles CC is having to continually work against.
Let’s just get behind them for the rest of this season and going into next and see where we are after 6-8 games into the new season.
Was great to see big Dave back too...despite the uneducated on here saying he did nothing, just his presence is huge. He puts fear into opposition and seems to lift the rest of the forwards...CC said it pre match that with Daves inclusion ‘we seemed to grow a leg’ through the week. He’s massively influential to how we play as a unit...I said in another post a few weeks back CC has been continually robbed of his genuine match winners in the likes of Fifita and TJ but if we can get them on the field a bit more we’ll become a better side as they’re not just important individually, they lift their team mates to different levels.

Apart from one half break when his offload went to ground, Fifita was a waste of space, as he has been in all the games he has played this season. Before his gps silliness, all he was doing was crabbing across the field to little effect, last night he was at dummy half more than actually being a prop?! He looks like he can't be d........
