It always disappointed me that one of the world's largest corporations. Coca-Cola, which is established in the city, were never interested in sponsorship of the Club.
Maybe, if it is for a higher value than the previous deal with Ambitemp, could the extra funding assist toward the stadium refurb.
With what happened with Ambitemp, and previously with Eric France, we don’t seem to have much luck with sponsors.
During my time with the club, and the other club I worked at, no credit checks were ever done on sponsors etc. Should we and other clubs be more tighter on this?
Pretty much in the 25 years of working, mainly in credit management, no terms have been agreed without a credit check taking place.
