Yep on Williams and Finn

Could have been a lot worse. Thought we were OK and had we have had a bit more composure we could have scored a few more. Cas were good but they are beatable.

On another note, we don't half get pinged for some petty penalties. That downtown penalty will probably be the only one you'll see awarded all season.

Got to agree KSC....think we would have scored a couple more tries had that pedantic penalty not been given and would have made the score line a bit more respectable but considering the half time score, I am not too disappointed. Just need to continue the second half performance into the Wigan game on Monday now

Castleford are a very good team what cost us was the loss of Toupou after three minutes then losing both centres in the second half. This resulted in back row forwards moving into these positions which badly effected our game plan.
I doubt either will be fit for Monday therefore do we bring in Jowitt and rest or move Grix to the centre. We can at least bring in Gibsob and MCB.

We will need a Centre who can nullify the threat that Gelling will pose, albeit he was fairly average against Saints today, so move Grix to Centre with Max in at full back and Gibson or MCB as the other Centre ??

don't think we were embarrassed in the end. this just shows that cas really look the real deal this year, not firing on all cylinders and still putting it to us.
the good thing for me about this is that cas were at this stage a couple of seasons ago and if we carry on in the fashion that we are it just shows where we could be in a couple of seasons with some of the same recruitment as we have been doing. I'm quite happy, not at the result but the attitude of the team after cas had given it to us pretty hard in the first half.
wigan next now lets get back together and give it to them.

Are Tupou and Arundel definite non starters for Monday?
Gelling will stroll round Grix if he is played at centre.
If the plan was to 'rest' Finn from the bench to save him for Monday, that didn't work too well.
Why change what has worked the last few weeks?
Williams and Miller doesn't work and Grix hasn't a kicking game.
Damage was done when Tupou went off after two mins, after that it was down to damage limitation until h/t.

Wasn't expecting a win cas are a good side and whilst we have improved greatly over the last two years we're still behind them. We had to start well but were poor first half made it too easy for them, second half played better and pleased with team spirit, better game management discipline we may have made a closer game of it. 18 point loss means we're still on positive points difference, now onto Wigan at home.

Think our forwards did well today along with our back line, though grix's kicks were very poor. Miller and in particular Williams were awful. Least we know what Miller is capable of, Williams however for me has shown nothing to keep Finn out of the side. That attempted tackle on Holmes was just embarrassing, like an 8 year old trying to tackle their dad ffs.

If Tupou & Arundal miss out then Gibson & MCB ahould come in. Kirmond seemed to be struggling with his back at the end as well so i would like to see Batchelor play. Possibly Hirst as well for whichever prop is the most knackared.
