| Quote alleycat="alleycat"As much as we supporters wish this was put to bed, the club dealt with it correctly and as such it only gives us renewed credit as it goes viral, and will not be disrupting next seasons preparations.
However the guilty parties in this sad episode are possibly wishing this would go away, far more than we are!'"
As an outsider I agree with this. No doubt some people will have harboured doubts about the way Wakefield handled it at the time, thinking that they should have been allowed to play at such a critical time. With this video coming out, no one (players/fans) can be in any doubt that the right decision was made and if anything help prepararions for your season.

Pointing out, on a Wakefield fans forum, a video that is all over over rugby league websites and social media is hardly spreading dirt. If anything this footage shows that the club dealt with it in the correct manner. Really not sure why you have your knickers in a twist over this, the video has just come into the public domain, it's a justifiable topic of discussion.

| Why wouldn't the club deal with it in a proper and professional manner, some comments on here would have you believe it's not capable of doing so.

I can't see your issue.
I don't see anything bad here for the club.
The fact that it shows very clearly that the players did a bad thing, and the fact that the club handled it very well is a good thing for me.

| WTW reacted in a responsible and professional manner in a way you would expect a club of it's standing to do and therefore as far as I'm concerned are above reproach over this embarrassing situation, quite a few on here seem to agree with this, so on that point why does it seem that these said posters feel the need to defend something that seriously ought to be ignored and resigned to the confines of the Vitriol Terrace where it belongs.

| The club at the time dealt with this in a way that unfortunately not many other clubs in professional sport would have done and for that we should be very proud.
If footballers, this would have been swept under the carpet (with the help of a few quid) and at most other Rugby League clubs i think it would have been the same.
Slightly different circumstances i know, but after his repeat offences, Leeds should have done the same to Hardaker. Yes, he's a better player than Smith/Locke, but on a scale of importance to the relevant team, the week before a relegation decider, they didn't get much more important than Smith was to us. Big balls from Carter/Smith and for this they should be commended. This footage coming out simply supports that, and i don't see a problem with it been shared on the Wakefield forum??
