I don't mind it, it needs some tweaks but I still feel licencing done correctly was a better option. Not sure where that puts my vote.

Franchising if it had been done fairly and honestly would have been my favoured option.
It wasn't so therefore something had to give.
I don't think this system will create any more excitement except for one game at the end of the season and will create some dead rubbers at the back end of the season when teams that are destined for the middle 8 league start resting players for the battle to avoid the drop.
The only plus i can see from this other than more money for (12) SL clubs is that id does give lower league clubs a chance of moving up, which for me is long overdue.

Willing to give it a try but not convinced the RFL have got 100% faith in their own decision. Could quite easily be pulled after 1 or 2 seasons given the RFL's track record.

I've voted for giving it a go, however I'm not sure that the constant tinkering and trying new ideas is really the correct way to run a professional sport. Recent history suggests that it will be given insufficient time to see whether it could work before the next idea is thrown in.

Call me a cynic but I don't think it will be long before they announce they like the three divisions of eight too much and stick with that for the full season.
