Her dad has at least two businesses in Wakefield so I suppose she could have worked for him. But the saying
it's not what you know but who you know probably comes into this story.

I agree, IF people are employed for the wrong reasons it WILL have a negative effect.
We all saw how the wrong people doing the wrong job, without any threat or real responsibility, saw us as being the sick man of RL.
We are a club playing catch up, the club has increased the number of staff employed to generate income (by 60% I think JE said on Thursday) but we need to be employing the best and get the most out of them if we are to make up any ground.
I hope this isn't an example of bad old practices and she has got the job because she is the best person we could possibly have got.

In fairness it was only a £12k salary so I doubt we were fighting off high flying businessmen left right and centre.

Agreed. If she suddenly becomes Chief Exec I will begin to get worried!

Wrong attitude mate sorry, we are not a club that can afford to waste money, on top of that we need to employ to as higher level as possible (this may well be the case in this instance of course, equally the name could be coincidental), but we know what nepotism has brought to the club in the past, so we have a right to view this with some scepticism.
Small mistakes have a habit of becoming big mistakes.
