Sorry its a bit late but I had to first get a few things sorted.

tonight I have spoken to Donna Walker to ask permission so Leon's name could be adorned on a trophy and see if we could raise some funds for their chosen charity.

Donna was pleased to hear that fans would like to take part in helping raising funds in which I mentioned about the squad builder or the benevolent fund but she would like the South Wales Air Ambulance to receive our help in respect for the effort that they tried to save Leon.

I had at first thought about offering prize money but the general consensus was more bothered that what ever fund received it all.

from the initial mention last year of the idea of the Leon Walker Trophy got great support and would like to see if we can help Donna and Steve in raising a few pounds.

To enter into The Leon Walker Predictions we thought about a £5 donation, if anybody wanted to donate more than that would be wonderful

there is an account in the name of Leon Walker Memorial Fund which can be used where the fund can then be saved until sent at the appropriate time

so in the next few days I will sort information for anyone that would like to enter

Snowie will update this later but for now, if you are going to Hunslet sunday you can hand over a cheque (leon walker memorial fund) to myself or snowie, please put it in a envelope with your username inside. If you just want to hand over a cheque please feel free.

As Alan has said you can bring a cheque or if you like pay cash to Alan or me and we will keep a record on the day who has paid to username,
as Al was one of many that helped raise funds for Brennan Rooney, Sky Marie and the Adam Watene funds I think you couldn't find a more respectable bloke to trust in.

As I have had to delay bring this to the forum it is a little short in time to collect donations to enter so will take the early predication weeks on until all have entered, this comp will be run the same way as last seasons but as there is an award available it would be unfair for anyone to win that didn't donate so this will be made clear at all time,
there will be a cut point when I won't be able to take any more on due to the funds being sent to South Wales Air Ambulance, this again will be posted.

with so many worthy causes some get over looked I do hope we can help get this to a couple hundred pounds for Donna and Steve who will welcome as much as we can raise,

my mrs has a paypal account so will look into it but you can make cheques payable to the Leon Walker Memorial fund, I want to make sure that its done properly and I will go call and see Donna and Steve hopefully this week and see which other method can be used

The cut off point for joining/paying will be 5th March, thats a couple of home games and including the Squadbuilder night so thats gives everyone time to join in, after that we will remove unpaid guests from the league.
